FAQ: Before you board!

Valor looks amazing, can you tell me more about it?

Valor is a 2023 Jeanneau NC 895, twenty-nine foot luxury boat that was purchased new by us.  The rear deck area is fully covered and in the winter time fully enclosed with vinyl windows.  Six passengers comfortably sit in this area.  The interior is extremely comfortable for four passengers at the dinette table and has unobstructed 360 degree glass window views.  Because she's heated, the cabin is enclosed in glass, and outfitted with the newest in navigational technology, we are now a year-round charter service!  Valor is powered by extremely reliable twin Yamaha 200 hp engines.  She gets up to speed quickly fully loaded and is extremely stable!  She's regularly taken out of the water for scheduled maintenance and cleaning.

What qualifications does the Captain have?

Captain Tony is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard with a 25 ton Master Captain's License.   His Merchant Marine Credential is always available upon request while aboard.  He has over fifteen years of boating experience just in the Puget Sound.  Eleven of the most recent years have been as a Marine Patrol Officer aboard Port of Seattle's police boat, "Harbor 1".  So long story short, he is fully licensed as a charter boat Captain and has over a decade of experience upon our waters responding to rescue/response calls, port security protection details, and on-water calls for service as a police officer.

How many people can it hold?

Our NC 895 holds six guests beautifully with ample room to move about!  Per U.S. Coast Guard requirements, we are limited to taking no more than six passengers while on a charter/tour.  Quite honestly, our #1 compliment has been, "This is a super comfortable boat!"

What should we bring?

Sunglasses, clothing for the weather, binoculars, and/or a camera!  Quite honestly, though, you'll be comfortable, dry, and out of the sun on your tour, so nothing truly is needed...except a desire to have fun!  Valor's rear deck is fully covered and is completely enclosed vinyl windows in the winter (and heated!).  There are NO bad views from anywhere on this boat!  Most of the other local tour boats do not have this level of protection from the elements or comfort for their passengers.

Do you serve alcohol?

No, we are not licensed to serve alcohol, but you are welcome to bring white wine and adult beverages.  Please note dark wine can stain our deck and floors, so we really don't want it onboard.  No large heavy coolers please. We have a small refrigerator onboard that is available for your use.

Should I tip?

It is always appreciated as our work does not stop when we dock.

Is there a bathroom?

There is a head onboard for unexpected emergency use.  However, it is a little tricky to use so we advise using the public restroom prior to boarding.  There is one at the Maritime Pier, where we pick you up.

Is there a refrigerator?

Yes, a small refrigerator is available.  We can easily cool those adult beverages!

Can I bring children?

Yes, children are welcome.  For your enjoyment, we recommend that they be 6 years and up.  Prior arrangements will be made to ensure proper life jackets are available for the tour.  Any child under the age of 12 must be suited up prior to getting underway, per US Coast Guard requirements.  We have a limited number of child sized life vests aboard, and always encourage you being your own so the kiddo will be most comfortable.  If a child is not under control and deemed to be a safety hazard while on the tour by the Captain, the voyage will be terminated, without refund.  Our longer tours may not be the best choice for younger kiddos.

Can I bring food?

Yes, you may bring your own food.  Please, no messy or greasy snacks that could stain (i.e. Cheetos types).  This will be enforced as the boat is brand new.

Can I do a custom tour?

Absolutely!  We can customize any type of boating adventure you would like.  Birthday parties, engagements, employer team-building experiences, memorials, water side real estate viewings, photo shoots, etc.  Local transports from point "A" to point "B" are available, as well.  Give us a call and we can work out the details!  ...and remember, our new boat is heated, so we will be operating year round!  Always subject to weather limitations, but Valor gives us many more options than the previous boat.

Will I be sharing the boat with other people?

Never!  Our prices are per voyage, for you and your guests alone!  We clean/disinfect touch surfaces between tours.  We are fully COVID vaccinated/boosted, and will gladly show proof upon request.  If you, or any of your guests, are experiencing any of the normal COVID symptoms, or are in a recommended quarantine window, we respectfully ask you to reschedule.

Do you accept debit/credit cards?

Absolutely!  Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and US currency are accepted.  Full payment will be processed at the end of the cruise, via our Square Terminal (yep, the same one you see in retail stores/restaurants!), with a receipt upon request.  So, feel free to swipe, dip, tap or call for payment!

When do I pay for my tour?

Payment is due at the time of booking your tour; however, final processing will be completed at the end of your adventure.

What is your cancellation policy?

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 24 hours notice of cancellation before their scheduled trip. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of company cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.  Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation.  No-shows will be charged the full price.

Are tours ever rescheduled?

For your touring enjoyment tours will be rescheduled due to inclement weather.  High winds, fog, and extreme low tides will be a factor for us and will be consulted upon when scheduling.  Trust us, we want to have you aboard to experience these amazing waters, but if the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll err on the side of caution so that you get the best experience!

What not to bring?

High heeled shoes are discouraged.  No greasy or messy snacks, please.  No pets please.
